There are two models of the 2008 Jaguar X Type to choose:

• Jaguar X Type 2.5
• Jaguar X Type 3.0
  

The 2008 Jaguar X Type comes loaded with variable valve timing & variable intake system 2.5 L V6 engine with a maximum horsepower (SAE) of 192 bhp @ 6,800 rpm. For traction the X Type has ten-spoke cast aluminum alloy rim and 205/55 HR 16 Continental ContiTouring Contact all-season tires.

The front and rear suspension of the 2008 Jaguar X Type 2.5 is an independent MacPherson strut type with L-shaped lower control arms, liquid-filled bushings, coil springs, gas charged twin tube shock absorbers and stabilizer bar (font) and Independent torsion control link: 3-link per side with coil springs, gas charged mono tube shock absorbers and stabilizer bar (rear).

The 2008 Jaguar X Type 3.0 offers a V6 with dual over-head cam, variable valve timing & variable intake system engine and a standard 5 speed automatic transmission manual transmission is optional. The traction comes from a X-7 Flute alloy wheel (17" x 7") rim and 225/45 HR 17 Continental ContiTouring Contact all-season tires. A nice turning circle of 35 feet 7 in.

The safety features for both 2008 Jaguar X Types is complete with occupancy sensing system that provides advanced protection if an accident should occure. Every X Type model has dual stage front airbags, front seat side airbags, and side curtain airbags above the front and rear door openings for added head protection to front and rear side impacts.
