2008 Prius
The
2008 Prius is reliable and fuel efficient car sweet for city
and suburban driving. The car is equipped with 1.5-liter dohc
16-valve inline-4 engine proficient in churning out 76 horsepower at
5000 RPM and 82 horsepower at 4200 RPM. The engine has further got
the support of continuously variable (CVT) automatic transmission
system. As far as standard specification is concerned, the 2008 Prius has got automatic climate control, AM/FM/CD stereo, 60/40
split folding rear seatback, power steering, power windows, central
locking and heated outside rearview mirrors, tilt steering wheel
with redundant climate control and audio controls, cruise control,
delayed accessory power shut off, remote keyless entry, front and
rear variable-speed intermittent wipers etc.
The optional features include JBL ETR AM/FM/Cassette/6-Disc changer
stereo, VSC electronic stability control, navigation system with
steering-wheel controls, fog lamps, Homelink programmable remote
opener system, Smart keyless entry system, security alarm, HID
headlamps etc.
The
2008 Prius has been assembled in Tsutsumi (Toyota City), Japan. The
car also takes pride in its fabulous range of safety features. The
car has got ISO child seat tether anchors, dual front airbags,
three-point seatbelts and adjustable head restraints in all five
seating positions, anti-lock brakes (ABS) with Brake Assist and
Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD), force-limiting
pretensioners etc. The 2008 Prius delivers superb fuel economy. The
car churns out 51 miles per gallon in the city and 60 miles per
gallon on highways.
